Clinical Co-Director

Elizabeth Risch, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist on faculty at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Center on Child Abuse and Neglect. She graduated from the University of Tulsa Clinical Psychology doctoral program in 2008 and completed postdoctoral fellowships in both pediatric psychology and child maltreatment at OUHSC.

 

Dr. Risch is involved in clinical, training, and research centered on effective treatment for families who have experienced trauma and promoting wellness among helping professionals. She is a Nationally Approved trainer for Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and Components for Enhancing Clinician Experience and Reducing Trauma (CE-CERT). Dr. Risch co-directs the statewide dissemination of trauma focused assessment and treatment for youth, providing training and consultation to all child -serving community mental health centers in the state of Oklahoma. As co-director of the Child Trauma Services clinic at CCAN, Dr. Risch remains actively engaged in clinical work and supervision of practicum, interns, and fellows. Her research is focused on enhancing engagement and participation in trauma-focused services and in evaluation of intervention for clinician wellness.
