 (TF-CBT) Training
DESCRIPTION:Registration for this event has closed.\nPlease note\, registra
 tion for the Introduction to TF-CBT Training also includes registration in
  the CE-CERT Overview Training on February 19\, 2026 8:30-12:00 pm CST.\nT
 raining Description:\nTrauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
  is a short-term\, evidence-based treatment for children\, ages 3 to 18\, 
 who have experienced trauma and their caregivers. This components-based ps
 ychotherapy model incorporates trauma-sensitive interventions with cogniti
 ve-behavioral\, family and humanistic principles. TF-CBT is empirically su
 pported for use with youth impacted by trauma and co-occurring mental heal
 th problems. It is designated as a Model Program by SAMHSA and the Nationa
 l Child Traumatic Stress Network and has received the highest scientific r
 ating as a Well-Supported Effective Practice by the California Evidence-Ba
 sed Clearinghouse for Child Welfare.\nThe Introductory TF-CBT  training p
 rovides therapists with a comprehensive understanding of TF-CBT as well as
  hands-on practice opportunities. The training is designed to meet the int
 roductory training requirements for the National TF-CBT Therapist Certific
 ation Program. Introductory trainings are limited to 30 participants to su
 pport a personalized learning experience. 12 CEUs are awarded for training
  participation. This training is offered in conjunction with consultation.
  Registration for training also requires participating in consultation. Co
 nsultation is key in learning any new treatment model\, as it provides cas
 e specific feedback and ideas from experts in the treatment. Consultation 
 is provided through a series of 14 conference calls with approximately 8 p
 articipants on the call.\n\nTraining Prerequisites:\nThe following items m
 ust be completed prior to attending the training.\n\n\n 	\n\n 	\n\n 	Maste
 r’s level therapist or higher\n 	TF-CBT Web Training: TF-CBT Web Course
   ($35-Must be completed before attending training. Submit completion cer
 tificate to OKTF-CBT@ouhsc.edu \n 	View the Child and Adolescent Trauma S
 creen (CATS) webinar and complete the survey.\n\n 	\n\n 	\n\n\n\n\n 	\n  
   Location:\n\n\n 	This training will be held via Zoom\n 	Participants mu
 st attend each morning.\n 	Each participant is required to join on an indi
 vidual computer equipped with a microphone and webcam.\n 	Our team is work
 ing hard to ensure that sessions are interactive between trainers and part
 icipants\, so we will be asking participants to join discussions and inter
 active activities.\n\n\n\n\n\nCost:\nThe cost for participation in trainin
 g and consultation is $800. This cost includes all days of the training\, 
 training materials and 7 months of consultation with a Nationally Trained 
 TF-CBT Consultant.          \nTraining is offered at no cost for ther
 apists working for the agencies contracting with the DMH (Department of Me
 ntal Health) on select child trauma services contracts.\n\nConsultation Re
 quirements:\nWhen you register for this training you are committing to par
 ticipation in the consultation meetings following the training. Consultati
 on completion is a requirement in order to be certification eligible. You 
 will be required to attend a minimum of 9 consultation meetings with a TF-
 CBT National Consultant. During these bi-weekly meetings you will staff yo
 ur identified TF-CBT cases with the consultant. Please only register for t
 his training if you are prepared to participate in consultation. You will 
 receive additional information for time &amp\; dates of these meetings dur
