You’ve learned the basics of TF-CBT, but want to take your skills to the next level… Join us for our first Virtual Advanced TF-CBT Training! We will dive into two powerful components of TF-CBT – Trauma Narration and Processing and Parenting through sharing case examples, engaging in group discussion, and providing resources and practice of skills for complex cases.
The session on June 10th will focus on advancing therapist skill in trauma narration and processing. Strategies for managing avoidance and processing trauma themes will be provided. The session on June 11th will focus on behavioral skills to enhance the parenting component of TF-CBT. These will be interactive and engaging sessions to develop the skills needed for challenging cases.
The Advanced TF-CBT Training is designed for the following:
- Master’s level therapist or higher OR in a graduate level psychology training program
- Completion of the 2-day Introductory TF-CBT Training
This training will be held online via Zoom. Log in information will be sent to you after registration.
- Each participant will be required to join on an individual computer equipped with a webcam and microphone.
- Our team is working hard to ensure that sessions are interactive between trainers and participants, so we will be asking participants to join discussions and interactive activities.
The Advanced TF-CBT Training is $35 per session or $70 for both sessions.
TF-CBT therapists from ODMHSAS Hope and Resilience Contract agencies, OUHSC Project Making Medicine TF-CBT Training and Consultation Program, and OUHSC Faculty, Staff and Trainees receive waived registration fees.
The Oklahoma State Board of Behavioral Health Licensure is on hiatus due to the current COVID-19 crisis and is unable to approve CEU applications at this time. The application has been submitted for 6 CEU credits for this training on 4/17/2020 and will be approved when the board resumes services. This means CEUs for this training will be granted to participants at a later date following the training.
