SUMMARY:CLOSED -  Introduction to Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy
  (TF-CBT) Training
DESCRIPTION:Registration for this event has closed.\nPlease note\, registra
 tion for the Introduction to TF-CBT Training also includes registration in
  the CE-CERT Overview Training on August 6\, 2026 8:30-12:00 pm CST. This 
 portion of the training will be held via Zoom. The second portion will tak
 e place in-person. Registration is located at the bottom of this page for 
 both trainings.\nTraining Description:\nTrauma-Focused Cognitive-Behaviora
 l Therapy (TF-CBT) is a short-term\, evidence-based treatment for children
 \, ages 3 to 18\, who have experienced trauma and their caregivers. This c
 omponents-based psychotherapy model incorporates trauma-sensitive interven
 tions with cognitive-behavioral\, family and humanistic principles. TF-CBT
  is empirically supported for use with youth impacted by trauma and co-occ
 urring mental health problems. It is designated as a Model Program by SAMH
 SA and the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and has received the hi
 ghest scientific rating as a Well-Supported Effective Practice by the Cali
 fornia Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare.\nThe Introductory T
 F-CBT  training provides therapists with a comprehensive understanding of
  TF-CBT as well as hands-on practice opportunities. The training is design
 ed to meet the introductory training requirements for the National TF-CBT 
 Therapist Certification Program. Introductory trainings are limited to 30 
 participants to support a personalized learning experience. 12 CEUs are aw
 arded for training participation. This training is offered in conjunction 
 with consultation. Registration for training also requires participating i
 n consultation. Consultation is key in learning any new treatment model\, 
 as it provides case specific feedback and ideas from experts in the treatm
 ent. Consultation is provided through a series of 14 conference calls with
  approximately 10 participants on the call.\n\nTraining Prerequisites:\nTh
 e following items must be completed prior to attending the training.\n\n\n

 st:\nThe cost for participation in training and consultation is $800. Trai
 ning is offered at no cost for therapists working for Certified Community 
 Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) with the Oklahoma Department of Mental H
 ealth Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS)  Click here to view a list of th

  materials and 7 months of consultation with a nationally trained TF-CBT C
 onsultant.       \n\nConsultation Requirements:\nWhen you register for 
 this training you are committing to participation in the consultation meet
 ings following the training. Consultation completion is a requirement in o
 rder to be certification eligible. You will be required to attend a minimu
 m of 9 consultation meetings with a TF-CBT National Consultant. During the
 se bi-weekly meetings you will staff your identified TF-CBT cases with the
  consultant. Please only register for this training if you are prepared to
  participate in consultation. You will receive additional information for
