CE-CERT Safeguarding
We all know the feelings of fatigue, stress, and secondary -trauma we often experience in our roles as we respond to our children and families and work to help them heal. Unfortunately, many times what we are told is we need to get better at “self-care” or learn more about what to do on our own time. But that’s not the goal of the work that we do, just like for our children and families, we don’t just want to survive, we want to thrive and have a long satisfying meaningful career doing the work that we love on a daily basis. CE-CERT (Components for Enhancing Clinician Experience and Reducing Trauma) is as skills-based evidence informed model, that helps supervisors and staff learn specific ways to emotionally connect and fully engage in our work on a daily basis while safeguarding against the risk factors for secondary-traumatic stress.
As part of the Oklahoma Child Trauma and Resilience program, we are incorporating CE-CERT into our system and are excited to offer the opportunity for supervisors and staff to go through the training together with our Oklahoma CE-CERT trainers and the developer of the model, Dr. Brian Miller.
Because of the size of our state program, each agency has been assigned by area to either the OKC training on Friday, April 20th, or the Tulsa training on Monday, April 23rd (please refer to the appropriate registration links below). While all TF-CBT supervisors and staff are invited to attend, after the training, your agency will be given the opportunity for identified supervisor(s) to participate in a 10 call consultation series to assist with implementation through supervision within your agency. We will be providing more information and sign up for that consultation call series after the training.
Thank you so much for the work that you do, and we look forward to CE-CERTing with you!!
