Training Description:
Advanced TF-CBT trainings are designed for therapists who previously participated in an Introductory TF-CBT two-day training and want to enhance their skills in implementing the PRACTICE components.
The October 30th training will focus on advanced skill development in specific PRACTICE components. Training participants will be awarded 6.15 CEUs.
Training is offered at no cost for therapists working for agencies contracting with the DMH on child trauma services. For other individuals interested in attending training, the cost is $100.00.
Training topics will include:
- What to do when PRAC doesn’t seem enough: Addressing child behavior problems in the TF-CBT model
- Introducing the Trauma Narrative and navigating the gradual exposure process
- Advanced cognitive processing: Methods for addressing inaccurate and unhelpful trauma-related cognitions in children and caregivers
